fast shutter
I am going to talk about the image where aubrey and I are about to jump into the air. I used a shutter speed 1/100. We froze the action of bending down about to jump into the air. The camera was about ten feet away and it was shot from right in front. The rule of thirds was used to create this photo.
slow shutter
I am going to describe the picture of me holding a shiny thing in front of my face and shaking it. The shutter speed was approximately 1/60. The shiny thing is the object that is blurred along with my hair a little bit. The photo was taken approximately a foot away from the camera. I believe texture and contrast was used to strengthened this picture.
painting with light
I am describing the photo where there are many multicolored circles. I had the shutter speed on approximately 15 seconds. I used a child s toy that had a bunch of different colors on the sphere thing. To make to image I walked down the isle in the auditorium and waved the toy in a circular motion, and also shut it off and on a couple times while doing this. I think the viewer of this photo would excited because there are many different colors in the image.
wide and shallow depth of field
depth of field
For shallow depth of field I chose the picture of the toy bear. I used the the f-stop of 2 and I set my camera to ISO 400. For large depth of field I pick the rocks picture. I took it on my phone and used f stop 2.2. If I did take the picture on the camera i wold use ISO 200 and wb sunny. I like the photo of the toy bear because it it more interesting and abstract. You would use a shallow depth of field if you wanted something to be the focus of the picture. You would use a large depth of field if you wanted everything in the picture to be in focus.
shadow and reflection
I choose the picture of the dock to reflect on. I took this pic on my little dock in my backyard. (this is my neighbor's dock) I took the picture on my phone so f stop 22. The photo is of a dock that is in the Assonett bay that I live on. The trees and dock and houses are being reflected into the water. I did include both the object and the reflection. I used the rule of thirds to take and edit this photo. My photo is interesting because it has many different visual components such as the foreground which is mud and shrubs. Also the houses and trees in the background, and how there is a middle ground and a background. The mood of this photo is calmness, serenity. I would like the reader to react to this by feeling tranquil and calmly interested in the picture.
